Midday deadline for applications

Season-ticket holders only have a few more hours to book their place at Thursday's question-and-answer session with Richard Murray and Derek Chappell.Fans have until midday on Monday to reserve their place at the Valley event being organised by the fans' forum.Football club chairman Murray and plc chairman Chappell will talk to supporters and answer questions from 7-9pm.But only those supporters and their guests who have received confirmed invitations will be allowed access to the north stand for the event.

Compensation agreed for McGinty move

Charlton will receive compensation from Manchester United after the Premier League champions signed 15-year-old defender Sean McGinty on Friday.The promising centre-half, who has been with the club for three years, was offered scholarship terms with the Addicks this summer. But with the Red Devils having tracked him for some time, he has opted to switch to Old Trafford.Although the Republic of Ireland U17 international is not contracted to the Addicks, the two clubs have agreed an undisclosed compensation package, which includes additional fees depending on the player's progress at United.
